Agiye Hall, Former Texas and Alabama Wide Receiver, Admits to Drug Trafficking Charge Without Contesting It

AL.com recently reported that Agiye Hall, a former wide receiver for both Texas Longhorns and Alabama, pleaded no contest to first-degree felony drug trafficking charges. The charges were brought against him following an incident in Florida in July 2023.

According to the report, authorities discovered 31 bags of marijuana, weighing a total of 40.3 pounds, that had been vacuum-sealed in Hall’s possession at Orlando airport. As a result, he was arrested on December 4th of last year.

Upon Hall’s arrest, he was given a bond of $500,000, which his attorneys attempted to have reduced through a subsequent motion.

After being scheduled to begin his trial on Monday, Hall pleaded guilty and the trial was subsequently canceled. As a result, he was sentenced to 18 months of supervised probation.

On January 10th, 2022, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Alabama’s wide receiver Agiye Hall (number 84) was seen reacting as the clock ran out during the 2022 CFP college football national championship game. Unfortunately, Alabama lost to Georgia with a final score of 33-18. The image was captured by Gary Cosby Jr. and is a mandatory credit for USA TODAY Sports.

Hall is required to attend counseling sessions every other week and maintain his college education as part of his probation terms.

During the 2021 season, Hall played as a member of the Crimson Tide and caught four passes totaling 72 yards in seven games. However, he was later suspended by former Alabama coach Nick Saban for a team rule violation before entering the portal.

In 2022, Hall’s time with Texas was cut short due to his arrest and subsequent booking into Travis County Jail on criminal mischief charges in August of that same year. Despite appearing in only three games and recording just one catch for seven yards, the team suspended him indefinitely.
