Over the weekend, a flight attendant had an altercation with former NFL player, Terrell Davis, resulting in his handcuffing and removal from the flight.
As soon as Davis and his family’s United Airlines flight from Denver to Orange County landed in California on Saturday, he was approached by FBI agents who placed him in handcuffs. Davis has since disclosed this unsettling experience.
On Instagram, the ex-Denver Broncos player revealed that he had lightly tapped a flight attendant on the arm when his son requested a cup of ice, but the attendant either didn’t hear or ignored him. The attendant then allegedly reacted by shouting “Don’t hit me” before walking away.
According to Davis, he did not have any further communication with the attendant throughout the flight. However, after the plane landed, six agents, including FBI personnel, boarded the plane and placed him under arrest immediately. Davis was then handcuffed and taken into custody.
As he recounted the incident, he shared that he was recorded by several passengers while he was being escorted off the plane in handcuffs by the officers.
Terrell Davis Reveals He Has Been Cleared Of Any Wrongdoing
After being falsely accused, the former running back was quickly cleared of any wrongdoing. He recalls that the agents who made the mistake were extremely apologetic, going as far as offering support to both him and his family. Currently, he is seeking an explanation from United Airlines regarding the incident.
In his statement, the Hall of Famer expressed concern that the lies and their aftermath could damage the reputation he has worked hard to establish over the course of many years. He emphasized that the individual responsible should not be allowed to inflict similar harm on anyone else in the future.
According to TMZ, the FBI has reported that they responded to a report of an in-flight incident at John Wayne Airport, detained an individual for questioning, but did not disclose the name of the person.
According to authorities, the individual was compliant with law enforcement and was permitted to continue their travels.
According to Davis’ post, his family is experiencing intense trauma after witnessing him being handcuffed by law enforcement. He is currently contemplating legal action in response to the situation.
