The Detroit Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in solving a homicide on the west side of the city. Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward and provide tips to aid in the investigation.
Investigators have disclosed that the DPD has released a photograph of a suspect who is still on the loose, having shot and killed a 30-year-old man almost a month ago.
Police reported that on the evening of June 15th, at approximately 8:50 pm, the suspect was spotted in the vicinity of Central St. and McGraw Ave. driving a gray or silver Chevy Camaro.
According to the authorities, the victim was shot by the suspect who exited the car from the passenger’s side and approached him.
Afterward, the perpetrator quickly returned to their vehicle and hastily made their escape from the location.
Police have reported that a man who was injured has passed away at a local hospital. The man’s identity has not been disclosed.
The suspect, armed with a long gun and dressed in dark clothing, was captured in a surveillance image released by the police on Wednesday. The image also showed the suspect vehicle, providing crucial information in the ongoing investigation.
As the investigation is ongoing, the DPD has not disclosed any details regarding the possible motive for the shooting.
