A man in DeKalb was originally believed to have died in a hit and run, but it has been discovered that he was also shot

According to police, the victim of an apparent hit-and-run was found to have also been shot.

At the intersection of North Hairston Road and Trace Terrace, a man was found dead in the road at around 11 p.m. The officers who responded to the scene discovered that the vehicle involved had already fled.

According to police officials, the victim was found to have suffered from a gunshot wound as per the report submitted by the medical examiner’s office on Wednesday. However, the exact cause of his demise is yet to be ascertained.

Homicide detectives are currently investigating the case of an unidentified victim who is believed to be around 30 years old. Authorities are working diligently to locate the victim’s family so that they can be notified of the tragic incident.
