According to the Troy Police Department, three out of the four suspects involved in the armed robbery of a convenience store in Troy on May 29 have been apprehended and are now facing charges of robbery.
According to Troy Police Chief Randall Barr, on Tuesday, agents from the US Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended Jaquavious Mason, aged 23 and hailing from Union Springs, along with Demiracle Washington, aged 20 and from Lanett, and Raekwon M. Daniels, aged 26 and from Eufaula. The arrests took place in Union Springs.
Authorities are still on the lookout for the fourth suspect.
At 1:20 a.m. on a Wednesday, law enforcement was dispatched to a business situated in the 100 block of US Hwy. 231. Upon arrival, it was discovered that four individuals had entered the establishment adorned in dark clothing and ski masks, brandishing a firearm. The suspects proceeded to abscond with an unspecified sum of money.
A dark colored passenger car was used by the suspects to flee north on South Three Notch Street.
On Tuesday, the police made arrests of Mason, Washington, and Daniels, who were charged with first-degree robbery. Following their processing at the Troy City Jail, they were then taken to the Pike County jail, where they are being held without bail until their Aniah’s Law hearings.
According to the police department, Eufaula Police Department has charged Washington and Daniels with conspiracy to commit murder and second-degree kidnapping, in addition to their current detainment.
