A 53-year-old man from Pittsfield collided with John Tyska on Plymouth St. in Pittsfield, around 7 p.m. The crash involved a 2022 Honda Ridgeline driven by the Pittsfield man.
Authorities confirmed that Tyska was declared deceased at the scene.
Authorities shut down sections of West Housatonic St. spanning from Osceola St. to Cadwell Road for approximately four hours to carry out the necessary cleanup and removal operations at the scene of the accident.
The Pittsfield police are currently investigating the crash, and as of Sunday afternoon, no charges have been filed.
