Trump hints at Haley joining his team after she announces her support for him

Former President Donald Trump hinted at the possibility of including former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley in his team after she expressed her intention to vote for him in November.

After his rally in the Bronx on Thursday, Trump expressed his appreciation for what she had said in an interview with Long Island’s News 12.

In response to the question of whether she would join him on his team or ticket, Trump expressed his confidence in her alignment with their shared ideas and thoughts, stating, “I think she’s gonna be on our team because we have a lot of the same ideas, the same thoughts.”

It is unclear how involved Haley will be in supporting Trump’s re-election, considering her lukewarm endorsement. Currently, Haley has not publicly shown any interest in working with the Trump campaign. In response to a report on May 11 suggesting Haley as a potential vice president candidate, the former president quickly stated on Truth Social: “Nikki Haley is not being considered for the V.P. slot, but I wish her well!”

Nikki Haley, the former United Nations ambassador, expressed her intention to vote for Trump due to her belief that President Joe Biden has not performed well in handling foreign affairs.

According to Nikki Haley, who works at the conservative think tank Hudson Institute, while Trump may not have been perfect on certain policies, Biden has been an absolute disaster. Haley expressed her support for Trump by stating, “So I will be voting for Trump.”

In her speech suspending her campaign on March 6, Haley reiterated her steadfastness to the remarks she made. She emphasized that “it is now Donald Trump’s responsibility to earn the votes of those in our party who did not support him, and I genuinely hope he does.”

Haley’s skill in attracting a diverse group of voters, including independents and moderate Republicans, has garnered attention. The Biden campaign has recognized the importance of reaching out to her supporters, particularly those who have concerns about Trump as the Republican candidate. Despite dropping out of the race, Haley continues to gather support and secure votes.
