Police said that a woman from Alabama was discovered deceased on a residential porch on Tuesday afternoon.
At around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, the police received a call about an individual in distress at a residence in Birmingham.
According to the Birmingham police, the woman was declared dead at the scene, and detectives observed signs of trauma on her body.
The woman was discovered on a porch in the 4400 block of 44th Avenue North.
An autopsy will be conducted by investigators to ascertain the precise cause of death and to positively identify the victim.
