Willie Brandon Nance, 23, was arrested after a gunshot incident at Alabama A&M University. According to reports, he was charged with serious assault early yesterday.
Another person engaged in the event is still hospitalized and will face identical charges once released.
The shooting was allegedly the consequence of a personal argument and appears to be an isolated incident.
In response, additional security measures have been implemented throughout the university.
