Highspire Resident Cristian Brito-Bruno, 29, Dies in Dirt Bike Accident

Cristian Brito-Bruno from Highspire was thrown off his dirt bike when he collided with a car at the intersection of Essex Street, between Main and Monroe streets, according to the Dauphin County Coroner’s Office.

According to Swatara Township police, Brito-Bruno was traveling east on Poplar Alley when he collided with a car that was heading north on Essex Street.

The Swatara Fire-Rescue and Life Team EMS, in addition to the police and later the coroner, arrived at the scene at 12:53 p.m. on April 21.

The coroner determined that Brito-Bruno died from “Multiple Traumatic Injuries Due to Motorcycle vs. Passenger Vehicle” and classified it as an accidental death.

The Dauphin County Accident Reconstruction Team is currently investigating the fatal crash.
