On August 2nd, a gunfire incident took place in the 000 block of West South Boulevard, where a vehicle with two adults and three juveniles inside was shot at. One of the juveniles was injured and hospitalized. However, the police have arrested a suspect in connection to the shooting.
Deandre Lucas, a 19-year-old resident of Montgomery, has been charged with five counts of attempted murder and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.
According to the criminal complaint, Lucas allegedly fired 21 shots at the vehicle with the intention to kill the occupants. The motive behind the shooting has not been disclosed yet.
