Observing the Majestic Great Grey Owl in Maine: A Week in My Life by Chris L’Abbé

A couple of years ago, NRCM supporter Chris L’Abbé from Topsham, Maine, captured this photo. It features a Great Grey Owl, a rare sighting in Maine. Chris spotted this majestic bird on the Studd Mill Road in Passadumkeag.

In his column for the Bangor Daily News, former legislator Bob Duchesne discusses the presence of rare owls in Maine. He highlights the reluctance of people to share the specific location of these owls, even when they are spotted. Chris, however, generously shared this location with us, although the photo is not from this year.
