Davram Stiefler, a member of The Good Liars comedy duo, brilliantly exposed the flawed reasoning of a Donald Trump supporter with a thought-provoking question.
In a recent video posted on social media, Stiefler confronts a North Carolina woman who is displaying a “Trump 2024 Or Before” banner. He challenges her false assertion that Trump is currently the president.
“I believe he is,” she told Stiefler.
When Stiefler mentioned that President Joe Biden is at the White House, she accused former President Barack Obama of “calling the shots on all this mess” in the world.
They went back and forth. Stiefler demanded clarification, and the woman asserted that Obama was actually manipulating the strings.
Biden is “a bumbling fool right now,” she added.
Then came Stiefler’s damning question: “But why would it matter if Obama was telling Biden what to do if Biden is not president?”
The woman paused, then asked him to “say that again.”
Stiefler repeated the question.
The woman couldn’t answer, and the clip ended.
Stiefler and his comedic partner, Jason Selvig, often criticize Trump and his supporters, comparing their experiences at Trump rallies to something out of “The Twilight Zone.”
Selvig, in an interview with MSNBC, described the experience of arriving at the destination as a striking encounter. He likened it to stepping into an alternate reality, where words hold little significance. It almost feels like being transported back in time, despite the progress made since then. The year may have changed, but the atmosphere remains reminiscent of 2016.
