Traffic on New Orleans Highrise delayed due to multi-vehicle crash

Traffic backed up on Thursday morning due to a multi-vehicle crash in the westbound lane of the Highrise in New Orleans. According to Total Traffic New Orleans, there was a crash involving four to five vehicles. Two of the vehicles ended up sideways, and one of them was a police unit.

Traffic officials issued a warning to drivers at 8:50 a.m. advising them to avoid using the bridge due to the fact that only the center lane was accessible. Drivers are currently experiencing a delay of one hour and are strongly advised to seek an alternative route for their morning commute.

Traffic on Chef Menteur Highway was redirected to the Danziger as of 9 a.m.
