6 shots, 1 fatality at Waffle House on the Indianapolis southwest side

INDIANAPOLIS: A shooting at a Waffle House on Indianapolis’ southwest side left six people injured and one person dead. Around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department reported that someone had been shot at 2600 Lynhurst Dr. Officers were called to the scene.

Two females and three males were among the five gunshot victims that the responding officers found. Recovered from the shooting scene were two weapons. According to the police, a female victim passed away at a nearby hospital. According to IMPD, everyone else discovered at the scene is stable.

A man was the sixth individual to self-transport to a nearby hospital. According to the most recent police bulletin, the individual was critically ill when he was admitted to the hospital.
