Police say Accokeek man turns himself in after strangling girlfriend

Mocobizscene- According to Prince George’s County police, a man reported himself after he claimed to have strangled his girlfriend on Saturday inside her Accokeek house.

At approximately 9:20 a.m., Carl Kearney, Jr., 43, entered a Clinton police station and “advised officers he strangled his girlfriend… earlier that morning,” according to the authorities. Upon arriving at the house located in the 800 block of St. James Court, officers reported seeing 38-year-old Patrina Best unconscious within. At the scene, she was pronounced deceased.

“Kearney admitted to strangling the victim during an argument during an interview with Homicide Unit detectives,” according to Prince George’s County police.
