Pedestrian, 35, dies after collision with sedan in New York City

Mocobizscene- According to authorities, a man died in the Bronx after his moped and another car collided. According to police, William Cruz, 35, of Manhattan, suffered a fatal injury on Friday at 7:40 p.m.

Cruz struck the driver’s side of a black vehicle going east on East 183rd Street while driving a gas-powered scooter south on Park Avenue, according to the NYPD.When police arrived at the scene after receiving a 911 call, the 35-year-old was “conscious and alert,” but St. Barnabas Hospital eventually declared him dead.

According to police, the black car ran away and was last seen turning right into Washington Avenue from 183rd St. Arrests have not taken place. The collision investigation squad of the NYPD Highway District is looking into the incident.
