Mocobizscene- Firefighters received a distress call at 1:17 a.m. on Saturday, alerting them to a blazing fire at 832 E. Manchester Ave. The abandoned commercial building, measuring 50 feet by 100 feet, was completely engulfed in intense flames when the fire crews arrived at the scene. Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey provided this information.
Adolphe Chancy Jr. was declared deceased at the scene, as confirmed by the Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner. A team of 113 firefighters worked together for 75 minutes to successfully extinguish the fire.
Fire crews are continuing their search of the severely damaged building, diligently scouring the area in hopes of finding any other potential victims, as stated by Humphrey. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and fortunately, no other deaths or injuries were reported.
