91-year-old man’s attempted robbery results in suspect’s arrest

Mocobizscene-  The NYPD has successfully apprehended a suspect involved in an attempted robbery that resulted in severe injuries to a 91-year-old man in the Upper East Side earlier this month.

Christian Torres, a 45-year-old resident of Brooklyn, has been charged by the police with attempted robbery in connection with the incident that occurred on February 1st.

In an interview with CBS New York, 91-year-old Hyman Silverglad shared his experience from the hospital as the victim of the incident. According to Silverglad, he proved to be a tougher target than expected due to his willingness to physically fight back.

As Silverglad made his way home after completing his errands, an audacious individual attempted to snatch his wallet. Silverglad is set to move to a rehabilitation facility, where he will recover for several months.
