Mocobizscene- Nija Woodbury, a 23-year-old individual, received a six-month prison sentence and five years of probation after admitting to the felony charge of reckless assault of a child. This information was shared by the prosecutors involved in the case.
Officials said that Woodbury admitted to committing the crime after they confronted her with deleted text messages pertaining to the incident. In July of last year, she pleaded guilty. The child’s mother expressed her deep remorse for allowing Nija into her home and ultimately exposing her precious baby to harm. She conveyed her belief that justice will never fully be served for the pain and suffering inflicted upon their family.
