Mocobizscene- Four vehicles became stranded in the midst of rapidly rising floodwaters in Long Beach on Thursday morning.
Around 7:30 a.m., the Long Beach Fire Department was called to the scene at Sepulveda Boulevard and E Willow Street. They discovered several cars submerged in water under a railroad bridge.
Fortunately, both the drivers and passengers in the vehicles managed to escape unharmed, and there were no reported injuries.
A tow truck has been dispatched to the scene in order to retrieve the submerged vehicles from the water. As a result, the area will be temporarily closed off, and drivers are urged to seek alternative routes to their destinations.
Long Beach residents were put on high alert as a flash flood warning was issued, extending until 11:15 a.m. on Thursday.
