On Monday, numerous ADOC facilities were rocked by an escape and multiple deaths

Several incidents occurred in various Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) facilities on Monday, including multiple deaths, an attempted suicide, and an escape by a prisoner.

At Staton Correctional Facility, a convicted murderer named Jordan Thomas escaped from prison, and Keith Holley, a diabetic who had his leg amputated while imprisoned, died.

Thomas’ escape was reported by ADOC at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, but according to several sources, he escaped in the early hours after midnight on Monday.

Martez Seay also died at Limestone Correctional Facility due to an alleged overdose, and Lashun White died at the William E. Donaldson Correctional Facility.

ADOC is currently investigating the cause of White’s death. Furthermore, at St. Clair Correctional Facility, an individual attempted suicide on Monday and is currently in the hospital in critical condition.

This year alone, the number of deaths in ADOC facilities has reached approximately 110. The cause of Holley’s death is currently unknown, but sources, including the mother of his child, are investigating the matter.
