Three people have been charged in connection with the alleged kidnapping and assault of a Guntersville man

Etowah County Sheriff Jonathon Horton has released a statement announcing that three individuals have been charged with either kidnapping or assault in connection with an alleged incident involving a man from Guntersville.

Timothy Baker, aged 49, and Brandy Click, aged 46, are currently being held at the Etowah County Detention Center, where they face felony charges of first-degree kidnapping and first-degree assault.

Meanwhile, Amy Downing, aged 48, is being held at the Marshall County jail on an unrelated charge but is expected to be extradited to Etowah County on a first-degree assault charge.

The victim in the case is said to have walked to a residence in the Egypt community seeking help, with his hands still bound behind him.

Deputies and medics responded to the scene, and the man was taken to a Gadsden hospital before being transferred to a Birmingham hospital, where he underwent surgery for his injuries.

According to authorities, the victim knew the other three people involved in the alleged incident, and it was not a random attack.

Baker and Click are being held without bond on the kidnapping charges and face a $50,000 bond on the assault charges. Downing, on the other hand, will face a $50,000 bond once she is back in Etowah County.
