Mocobizscene- According to people with firsthand knowledge of the killing, 41-year-old Crystal Camargo’s body was discovered early on Sunday night in the cafeteria area of Konica Minolta’s headquarters, which is located off Route 17 close to the Rockland County border.
Luis Suarez, also 41, who they claimed had small children with Camargo, was charged with murder and unauthorized possession of a handgun.
When a third individual in Montclair called to report that Suarez had slain Camargo and appeared set on killing himself, Ramsey police hurried to the corporate campus.
Police from neighboring towns rapidly crowded the area, assisting in the establishment of a perimeter, along with Bergen County sheriff’s police and New Jersey State Police.
K9 units were called in, the building was searched, and Suarez, who weighed 265 pounds and stood 5 feet 10 inches, was the target of a manhunt. According to the authorities, he was operating a red 2018 Nissan Altima.
Around 9 p.m., news of Suarez’s surrender in Montclair, more than 20 miles to the south, caused the warning to be canceled. Suarez surrendered and was given over to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
After being arrested overnight, he was detained at the Bergen County Jail until his first appearance at Hackensack’s Central Judicial Processing Court on New Year’s Day. On New Year’s Day, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella was scheduled to make a brief statement.
