Washington D.C.-Police have announced the arrest of two teenagers in connection with a series of robberies in Northwest D.C.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), a robbery occurred at approximately 2:50 p.m. on December 8th in the 2000 block of 15th St. NW. During the incident, two individuals approached the victim, physically assaulted them, and forcibly took their belongings before fleeing the scene.
On December 20, at approximately 3:15 p.m., a robbery occurred in the 1300 block of Florida Ave. NW. According to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), the perpetrators approached the victims, with one of them suspiciously keeping his hands in his pocket, creating the impression of being armed. The suspects successfully stole belongings from one of the victims before swiftly fleeing the scene.
On Wednesday, December 27, MPD officers carried out search warrants, resulting in the arrest of a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy.
Both individuals were charged with robbery for the incident that took place on December 8th. In addition, the 15-year-old was also charged for a separate incident on December 20th.
