Four individuals, along with one accomplice, belonging to a white supremacist gang, have been handed down sentences for their involvement in a tragic home invasion. The incident resulted in the heartbreaking death of a brave 14-year-old girl, who valiantly attempted to protect her home.
Justin Cayne Ramsey, 24, will face the harshest penalty for his involvement in the tragic incident in Coweta County, Georgia. Prosecutors have described the weapon used as an “AK-47-style rifle.” Ramsey pulled the trigger, resulting in the death of young Haley Adams. He has been sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 30 years.
However, the four co-defendants also had a role to play on that fateful night of February 11, 2020.
William Autrey Tyree, 35, orchestrated the failed home invasion due to a personal grudge against one of the residents. He was not only involved in the criminal act but also held a high-ranking position within the Ghost Face Gangsters, a white supremacist gang. Prosecutors revealed that Tyree directed his fellow gang members Aubrie Leigh Brown, 29, Kyle Ray Conley, 40, and Ramsey to target the residence. Additionally, Spencer Wix, who is not affiliated with the gang but happens to be Brown’s brother, was also present at the scene, acting on Tyree’s orders.
According to prosecutors, Tyree instructed the other four individuals to frighten the target and physically confront him, while also stealing the guns that were believed to be in the house. Ramsey was armed with an AK-47-style rifle, while Conley and Wix carried handguns. Brown provided bags to transport the stolen firearms.
“After tormenting Haley’s mother at gunpoint, once the four perpetrators realized the man was not present, they abandoned the robbery plan and began to flee,” prosecutors wrote. “As they ran outside, Haley, who had been hiding in her room during the invasion, retrieved a BB pistol and chased after the intruders. As she was on the front porch with the BB gun in hand, Ramsey opened fire at her, striking her once in the back, a wound to which she ultimately succumbed later that night.”

All five defendants have pleaded guilty to a range of crimes in connection with the home invasion.
Ramsey admitted guilt to several charges, which included felony murder, violations of the Georgia Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, and first-degree home invasion.
In late November 2023, Brown admitted her guilt in various charges, including violating the street gang act, voluntary manslaughter, and first-degree home invasion. The prosecution stated that she has been sentenced to 50 years in prison, with the initial 30 years to be served behind bars.
In April 2022, Conley admitted guilt to several charges, including violating the street gang act, committing voluntary manslaughter, and engaging in a first-degree home invasion. Consequently, he received a 40-year prison sentence, with the requirement to serve the initial 25 years behind bars.
In August 2023, Tyree admitted his guilt to several charges, including violating the street gang act, committing aggravated assault, and false imprisonment. The court sentenced him to 60 years behind bars, with the first 35 years to be served without parole. This information was confirmed by prosecutors.
In April 2022, Wix acknowledged his guilt and pleaded guilty to charges of voluntary manslaughter and home invasion in the first degree. As a result, he has been sentenced to spend 40 years behind bars, with the initial 25 years to be served in prison.

“This case shows the harm that all street gangs do to our community and the devastation they cause to victims and their families,” Coweta County District Attorney John Herbert Cranford, Jr. said. “The view of the District Attorney’s Office is that street gang members who commit gang crimes should be sent to prison. And if those crimes are violent, they should be sent to prison for decades. While our criminal justice system obviously cannot compensate for the loss of Haley Adams, the District Attorney’s Office is satisfied that justice was done in this case and that our community is safer as a result of these sentences.”
