Authorities have charged an 18-year-old with the shooting death of a man and the injury of another man during an attempted robbery on Black Friday.
On December 4th, Micheal Solomon was taken into custody and officially charged with murder and aggravated robbery involving a deadly weapon, according to records.
Homicide investigators from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office swiftly responded to a murder investigation in the 6800 block of Trail Valley Way at approximately 7 p.m. on November 24th.
Authorities report that emergency medical services (EMS) were initially sent to respond to a call regarding a man in need of medical assistance due to a gunshot wound. The victim had sought help by knocking on a residential door.
Just a few houses away from where the initial victim was discovered, deputies made a chilling discovery. In an SUV parked nearby, they found a man slumped in the driver’s seat, unresponsive and with a gunshot wound. Tragically, this victim was also pronounced dead. The scene was one of sorrow and confusion as authorities began to piece together the puzzle surrounding these unsettling events.
The first victim underwent surgery and was immediately rushed to the hospital. Reports indicate that their condition is critical and they are currently receiving medical treatment.
Authorities are currently reviewing security video footage and conducting interviews with witnesses and the victims’ family members to gather more information about the events leading up to the shooting. The exact details of the incident have not been disclosed at this time.
The suspect was taken into custody on his 18th birthday, according to official records.
