A postal worker was robbed at gunpoint in Fort Walton Beach, and the suspects were apprehended in Alabama

The Fort Walton Beach Police Department was called to Bobolink Dr NE on July 21, 2023, for an armed robbery that had just happened. A USPS employee stated that a young black male between the ages of 18 and 25 approached her, displayed a handgun, and stole her mailbox keys.

  • The man then left the area in a white Mercedes car.
  • According to the FWBPD, the postal worker was not injured.

Several leads were created shortly after the request for assistance was received, and it was learned that the culprits possibly went to Alabama. According to the FWBPD, investigators worked with Alabama officials to issue a “Be On the Lookout” (BOLO) warning for the suspects and vehicle.

  • Montgomery Police officers noticed the suspect’s vehicle about 2 hours after the call was received. A high-risk traffic stop was carried out, and two Suspect were apprehended without incident.

One count of Armed Robbery was filed against Keondre Daniels of Montgomery, AL. Marquan Johnson, who also lives in Montgomery, AL, was charged with one count of helping someone steal with a gun. Daniels and Johnson are both being held in the Montgomery County Jail while they wait to be sent back to Florida.
