MPD arrests two people in connection with the shooting death of a 41-year-old Montgomery man

A 41-year-old Montgomery man was killed in a shooting Friday morning, and the Montgomery Police Department made two arrests in the case less than 24 hours later.

After hearing reports of a shooting, MPD officers and fire medics arrived to the 6100 block of Eric Lane in south Montgomery at 10 a.m. Craig Adair, the shooting victim, was found and sent to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Law authorities identified 28-year-old Montgomery resident Kendrick Moorer as a suspect, and Moorer was apprehended within an hour after Adair’s death. He has been charged with capital murder and is being held without bond at the Montgomery County Detention Facility.

Around 1 a.m. Saturday, MPD announced that another suspect had been apprehended and was being charged with capital murder. Officers detained the 16-year-old Montgomery resident on Friday and did not name him publicly due to his age.

The second suspect, like Moorer, is being held without bond at the Montgomery County Detention Facility.

The investigation into Adair’s death is still ongoing, and MPD stated that no other information is available.
