Several women apprehended for allegedly stealing merchandise worth thousands of dollars from CVS stores across Alabama

According to authorities, two women were taken into custody for stealing over $34,000 worth of merchandise from a total of 12 CVS stores located throughout Alabama.

According to the Cullman Police Department, two women by the names of Rosanna Imelda Bita and Ana Maria Larisa Bita, visited two CVS stores located in Cullman on June 12, 2024. The women were found guilty of stealing merchandise worth $4,330.

According to the police, after collecting evidence, it was discovered that the two women had committed theft in other locations. Authorities were provided with a description of the vehicle as well as the license plate number to keep an eye out for them.

On June 13, the Homewood Police Department located the vehicle and detained the two suspects. The very next day, Cullman investigators went to Homewood and took the suspects into custody.

According to authorities, the vehicle belonging to the two suspects was searched under a search warrant obtained by the police. The investigation revealed that the suspects were involved in thefts at 12 different CVS stores located in Alabama, and they had stolen merchandise worth more than $34,000 from those stores. It was reported that a significant portion of the stolen merchandise was found by the police during the search of the suspects’ vehicle.

Two counts of organized retail theft were charged against the two women, who are currently facing various charges in other counties throughout the state.
