After a chase, Birmingham police apprehend two shooting suspects

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — After a chase that started almost four miles away in the East Lake area, there were a lot of cops in the Avondale area of Birmingham on Saturday afternoon.

Officers from the East Precinct started chasing two people who had just shot someone in the 500 block of 83rd Street North. They caught them in the 5100 block of 6th Avenue South.

Police say that they think the suspects were involved in a shooting that happened a few days ago, but they didn’t give any more information.
