PRICHARD, AL — According to a City of Prichard official, a man is still on the run after reportedly breaking into a woman’s motel room, beating and raped her.
According to the announcement, a man was recorded on a surveillance camera at the Star Motel in Prichard around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 29. That man apparently forced his way into one of the motel rooms. According to the release, he then used a firearm to assault a woman who was staying at the motel with two friends. The male is also accused of raping the victim.
According to authorities, the woman suffered minor bruises and lacerations to her body and head. When cops arrived, the man had already fled the scene. Anyone with information is asked to call the Prichard Police Department.
