Breaking News – A man from Dothan is accused of kidnapping

DOTHAN, Ala. – Dothan police charged a man with kidnapping a woman after her family worried about her safety and called the police.

According to DPD, a worried family member called the Dothan Police Department on Sunday, July 23, to say that a female family member was missing. The last time anyone saw the victim was about 12 hours ago when she was with her boyfriend, Tarrence Lee Wright. Family members were worried about the safety of the victim at the time because Wright had a gun. Family members tried to get in touch with the woman victim at her home on W. Selma Street, but they were unable to do so. While they were there, family members saw some strange things that made them worry about the victim’s safety, so they called the police.

When the police arrived, they couldn’t get in touch with anyone inside the house. Officers saw several things that made them think that there had been a fight outside the house. While the police were at the spot, they were able to call the victim and talk to her. During the talk, the officers thought the woman might be in trouble because she wouldn’t say where she was.

At the victim’s home, a search warrant was made and carried out. Investigators found the victim and her boyfriend, Tarrance Lee Wright when they went to carry out the search order. Inside the house, investigators also found a gun.

The woman had cuts and bruises on her face and head, which she said Wright caused by hitting her with a gun. She also said that Wright wouldn’t let her leave the house, let anyone in, or let anyone know where she was. The victim’s small injuries were taken care of, and she will be fine.
