A Rockville research firm conducted a study during the COVID-19 pandemic that revealed a select group of products continued to sell-out as people were forced into lockdown and quarantine in their homes.
According to a report released by Fact.MR, consumers spending their holidays indoors is a major factor driving the growth of the residential electric grill market. An industry that’s projected to cross $900 million by 2029.
In particular, indoor grills will take the lion’s share of the market accounting for 70 percent. Millennials will be a key consumer, lured by newly added tech-features such as integration with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi functionality.
Light-weight and portable, heavy growth for the electric grill has happened in North America with Latin America posting a significant growth rate of 6.5 percent. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused people around the world to find alternative options to outdoor events and mass gatherings.
