Montgomery County, Maryland emblem.

Supply shortages ravaging the country have reached into virtually all industries. The alcoholic beverage industry is not the exception and isn't being sparred from havoc.

With a limited supply of certain spirits, the Montgomery County Government Alcohol Beverage Services (ABS) Department has instituted a lottery system for hard-to-find products with limited availability.

The lottery system follows a recent ban from the County Government on Russian-made alcohol in particular vodka.

The ABS department said details will be posted on this page as they become available.

Tips:

  • For each lottery you entered, make sure you have the email with your lottery number handy. The lottery you entered is in the subject line.
  • Make sure to check your lottery number against the correct lottery results. For example, if you entered the Montgomery County Resident Lottery and your assigned number is 0123, make sure you are checking the winners list for the Montgomery County Resident Lottery and not one of the other two lotteries that ran at the same time.
  • If you did not receive an email confirming you are a winner, you either entered your email incorrectly in the submission process or you may be checking the wrong winners list.
  • Please contact the ABS Communications Center with any questions -- 240-777-1900 or ABS.CommunicationCenter@montgomerycountymd.gov.
