The closure is expected to last two months from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The main alternative route will create a detour to Jones Bridge Road.
The Avocet Towers office component is the last to break ground in a recent wave of office building under construction in downtown Bethesda. After years of stagnation the office market is now the most active in entire Washington, D.C. area.
The project by Bethesda-based Stonebridge will reach 250’ feet in height and will be accompanied by a hotel building that will fly the AC Hotels by Marriott Flag.
