Police were called to S. Harbor Blvd on November 5, 2023, following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered a man who had sustained a gunshot wound to his leg. Fortunately, the injury was not life-threatening, and the man was conscious. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The officers’ search for the suspect was aided greatly by the descriptions of both the suspect and his vehicle, which were provided by witnesses at the scene. This information proved to be crucial in their investigation.
The witnesses’ description proved to be accurate as the police swiftly located a speeding vehicle. The male passenger in the car matched the suspect’s description, leading to a prompt arrest.
Law enforcement officials have detained both the male passenger, who is suspected to be the shooter, and the female driver. Upon searching the vehicle, authorities discovered a firearm that is believed to have been used in the shooting. As a result of the severity of the crime, the suspects’ bail has been raised from $500,000 to $1,500,000.
