It is important to note that every individual is considered innocent until proven guilty. This is a fundamental principle of the justice system and should be upheld in all cases.
The New Orleans Police Department has announced that they have made an arrest in connection with the tragic shooting of a 17-year-old girl in the New Orleans area. A report of a shooting in the 4300 block of North Villere Street prompted officers to respond on July 7.
When the officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a 17-year-old girl who had sustained a gunshot wound. Unfortunately, she was declared dead on the spot. NOPD detectives have successfully identified the perpetrator of the crime as 20-year-old Kenneth Saulsberry, following a thorough investigation.
According to NOPD officials, Saulsberry has been linked to a second homicide. He was previously booked on October 24 for his alleged involvement in a fatal shooting that took place on February 28 in the West Lake Forest neighborhood.
On April 4, there was a shooting incident that Saulsberry was allegedly involved in, and he was initially taken into custody and booked at the Orleans Parish Justice Center. On October 30th, authorities re-booked him into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for an additional charge of second-degree murder.
