Narcotics agents allegedly seized two pounds of methamphetamine from the streets of Tuscaloosa and Brookwood on Monday.
The West Alabama Narcotics Task Force conducted a search warrant at a residence on Highway 216 in Brookwood Monday evening, according to court documents obtained by the Tuscaloosa Thread.
After discovering more than $1,100 in cash and drug paraphernalia, officers allegedly located a pink case hidden under a couch containing 446 grams of completed methamphetamine – just seven grams shy of a full pound.
Devin Andrew Florence, 26, is a suspect who apparently acknowledged to selling it.
Florence was arrested and charged with selling methamphetamine and failing to affix a tax stamp, and his total bond was set at $1,515,000 at the Tuscaloosa County Jail.
WANTF agents allegedly apprehended a Florida lady handing over another full pound of meth to a man in the parking lot of the Home Depot on 13th Avenue East on the same day.
Surveillance agents rushed in and arrested Takaya Rander of Pompano, Florida, who apparently admitted to being dispatched here with a pound of meth in an Arby’s bag to deliver it for local distribution.
Rander, 32, was charged with the same offences as Florence and was being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on the same bond Wednesday afternoon.
