According to Montgomery police, a pursuit came to a halt when the suspect’s vehicle collided with something.
According to Maj. Saba Coleman, spokesperson for the Montgomery Police Department, the incident began around 1:50 PM on Friday when authorities attempted to pull over a vehicle in the vicinity of Eastern Boulevard and Carmichael Road. However, the driver refused to comply, resulting in a pursuit.
According to Coleman, the pursuit continued onto Interstate 85 southbound before circling back onto I-85 northbound. Unfortunately, during the chase, an unmarked police special operations vehicle collided with another vehicle, resulting in a two-vehicle collision.
According to her statement, the chase came to a halt close to Carmichael Road and Eastern Boulevard after the vehicle being pursued crashed. Fortunately, no one sustained any injuries.
According to Coleman, two individuals have been apprehended and the authorities are in the process of filing charges against them.
