(Alabama)In September 2023, a man from Alabama was arrested for impersonating a police officer. According to reports, he was caught after pulling over a driver who became suspicious and called the real police. Thankfully, the driver was alert and took the necessary precautions to ensure their own safety and that of others on the road.
As reported by The Thread in Alabama, Joshua Salters, 32, was driving behind another car when he switched on his fake police sirens and lights. However, instead of parking behind the pulled-over vehicle, Salters parked in front of it and signaled the driver of the parked car to leave the supposed “traffic stop”.
The driver’s intuition was triggered by the unusual behavior of Salters, and therefore, he decided to take action. To be on the safe side, the driver immediately called the police in Tuscaloosa County to report the incident. Fortunately, the police were able to find Salters at a nearby gas station.
In the end, the article concluded by stating that the fake officers were arrested in separate incidents in Tuscaloosa County.
