According to a recent announcement from Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn’s office, a woman from Williamsville has been sentenced by a judge on Wednesday. The woman had earlier pleaded guilty to stealing more than $100,000 from a fitness center in Clarence where she was working as an employee.
After pleading guilty to second-degree grand larceny, a class C felony, Sienna D. Foumakoye, 35, has been sentenced to spend the next two to six years behind bars.
According to the Erie County Sheriff, Foumakoye has been accused of stealing a staggering $110,312.48 from a gym located in the town of Clarence. Although the gym was not identified by the Erie County District Attorney, it is believed to be Jada Blitz Fitness. The fraudulent activity occurred between September 2020 and October 2022. Foumakoye was reportedly issuing credit card refunds to customers from the gym, but instead of returning the money to the rightful owners, she was routing the payments to her personal bank account. The DA’s office has confirmed the allegations.
In June 28, Foumakoye signed a plea agreement wherein she agreed to repay the complete amount that was missing from the business. However, as of Wednesday, the District Attorney reported that no restitution has been made yet.
