On Friday afternoon, Democrats in Georgia will come together in Fulton County to launch a coordinated campaign office in support of Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential bid.
The Harris Campaign has announced that an event will be held, which will be attended by representatives from Georgia’s Democratic Party, along with officials from East Point and a U.S. Representative.
According to the campaign’s statement, the newly opened office in Georgia marks the 22nd coordinated location that Democrats have established in the state. The office’s primary objective is to motivate voters and support the election of Vice President Harris and other Democratic candidates at all levels of government.
Just a few days before her presidential campaign event in Atlanta, Harris will be greeted by the opening of the office.
Former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama endorsed the Vice President’s presidential campaign on Friday morning.
At 1 p.m., the festivities will commence, featuring:
-
- U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal
- East Point Mayor Deana Holiday Ingraham
- Democratic Party of Georgia Senior Caucus Chair Gloria Jenkins
- Candidate for East Point City Council Jermaine Wright
