Preparing for Independence Day traffic: Important information from Alabama Law Enforcement Agency

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is preparing for a hectic holiday weekend on the roads in Baldwin County, Alabama. WKRG reported the news.

Thompson explained that they are searching for a range of violations including reckless driving, speeding, and road rage.

As troopers patrol the roads of Alabama, they are quick to spot drivers who are breaking traffic laws, especially those heading towards south Baldwin County. Safety on the roads is paramount, and it’s important that all drivers follow the rules and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.

Thompson stated that he will be keeping an eye out for drivers like the one driving a white Volkswagen Passat, who was speeding at 78 mph in a 55 mph zone during inclement weather on the beach express.

The driver was handed a ticket by Thompson for exceeding the speed limit by 23 miles. This violation could potentially cost the driver a hefty sum of $240.

According to him, speeding and seatbelt violations are the most common reasons for troopers to issue tickets.

Thompson emphasized the importance of wearing a seatbelt while driving. “We want to ensure that you and all occupants of the vehicle are buckled up at all times,” he said. He further added that many people are not aware of the seatbelt law and its significance in preventing fatalities and injuries in accidents.

According to Thompson, they are also keeping an eye out for texting and driving during this weekend.

According to Thompson, the distracted driving law is currently in effect, but it is considered a secondary violation. He explains that if any other violation, such as improper lane usage or weaving within a lane, is observed, law enforcement will enforce the distracted driving law as well.
