The Montgomery County Police Department is investigating a fatal gunshot that occurred early Saturday morning in downtown Silver Spring. “At approximately 2:40 a.m., the Montgomery County Emergency Communications Center received multiple reports of gunfire in Public Parking Garage 3, near Thayer and Silver Spring Avenues,” according to the MCPD.
Officers from the Third District discovered a man with an evident gunshot wound on the first floor of the parking garage. He was declared dead at the site. There is no suspect in custody and The MCPD is expected to issue a press release with additional information later today.
