During tonight’s AGT auditions, a teenage cancer survivor from Brazil impressed the judges with his exceptional breakdancing skills. Despite losing his leg to the disease as a teenager, the dancer showcased remarkable talent on the stage.
During his audition on the June 11 episode of “America’s Got Talent,” Bboy Samuka walked onto the stage and shared his inspiring backstory with judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara. He revealed that when he was just 13 years old, doctors discovered cancer in his right leg, which ultimately led to its amputation.
He stumbled upon dance during that same period and it had a profound impact on his life, ultimately leading to a significant change.
“I’m here for that reason,” he stated.
During his appearance on AGT, Bboy shared his heartfelt dream of using the prize money to buy a house for his mother and support those battling cancer. Simon, wishing him all the best, expressed that the entire audience was rooting for him.
Bboy performed an electrifying dance to James Brown’s “Get Up, Get Into It, Get Involved” using forearm crutches. He incorporated spins on his arms, legs, and crutches, as well as acrobatic maneuvers. At the midpoint of his performance, he discarded his crutches and exhibited incredible strength while completing his routine.
The judges were on their feet, clapping and cheering along, before Bboy Samuka could even finish his performance. When the music came to a halt, he took a deeply emotional bow, and the crowd erupted in a chorus of praise and thunderous applause.
Simon Cowell Gives “AGT” Dancer A 12 Out Of 10
Heidi struggled to find the right words to describe what she had witnessed. “It’s difficult to put into words,” she said, “but it was amazing from the very start and kept getting better and more exhilarating. There were more flips than we could count, and it was simply incredible.”
Simon expressed his confidence that the entire world, including Brazil, would be watching and applauding.
Simon was highly impressed by Bboy’s routine, comparing it to the Olympics. He rated the dance a remarkable 12 out of 10.
He continued by saying, “You truly inspire me.”
According to Sofia, her favorite aspect of America’s Got Talent is dancing, and she confessed that it is one of the most impressive talents she has ever witnessed.
Bboy Samuka has been given a “yes” by all four judges, which has opened up the opportunity for him to win the grand prize of $1 million and make his dreams a reality. To stay up to date with Bboy’s inspiring journey, tune in to NBC’s AGT on Tuesdays at 8 PM ET.
