The Union Springs driver license office is relocating to a new building, according to WSFA.
The company is moving to a new location, specifically from 303 North Prairie Street to 201 Powell Street.
According to officials, the residents of Union Springs and nearby areas will benefit from the Driver License Division’s improved service as a result of the upgrade to the new, more spacious office.
Driver License Division Director Holley Cook expressed the state’s commitment to providing exceptional customer service in all of their Driver License Offices. The division is constantly looking for ways to improve its services, and they are thrilled to announce the relocation of their Union Springs office. This move aims to better serve the surrounding customers, making it more convenient and accessible for everyone.
On June 27 at 4 p.m., the current office located on North Prairie Street will be closing down temporarily. However, the office will reopen on July 11 at its new location on Powell Street.
During the transition, online services will remain available. The hours of operation will continue to be the same at the new location, which is Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Citizens are reminded by ALEA that testing should be finished before the office closes. It is important to note that no tests will be offered after 3:30 p.m. at this location.
