On Monday, the City of Atlanta is in for a special treat as the King and Queen of the Netherlands are paying a visit to the town.
During their visit, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima will be meeting with Governor Brian Kemp and Mayor Andre Dickens. They will also be visiting several prominent locations such as the King Center, the CDC, the BeltLine, and the High Museum.
While visiting the King Center, the family plans to honor the legacies of Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King by visiting their burial site.
During their visit, they have also planned to stop by Patchwerk Recording Studios, which holds a rich history of recording albums from renowned artists such as OutKast, Beyoncé, and Madonna among others.
As part of their itinerary, the royal couple is set to participate in the inauguration ceremony of NewCold, a Dutch company’s cold-storage warehouse in Atlanta.
The couple’s U.S. visit includes a stop in Atlanta, followed by a visit to the port of Savannah. They will then proceed to Albany, New York, and New York City to wrap up their trip.
