Cal Fire reports 4 firefighters hurt while fighting 60-acre blaze in Napa County

According to officials from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, the blazing Crystal Fire, which was raging amidst intense heat, has been contained up to 65% by evening. Unfortunately, four firefighters sustained injuries that were related to the challenging response in steep, rocky terrain and the scorching temperatures of summer. Currently, they are receiving treatment at local hospitals.

Cal Fire officials announced on social media that all individuals are anticipated to have a complete recovery.

According to a video update by Cal Fire Division Chief Mike Wink, firefighters were sent to the fire on the east side of Napa County at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to him, the area experienced a scorching 101-degree temperature on Wednesday. Fire officials have anticipated the presence of 20 fire engines and other vehicles to battle the fire throughout the night.

According to officials, the cause of the incident is being investigated by CAL FIRE Law Enforcement, who were present at the scene.
