Tragedy Strikes as Two Individuals Perish in Devastating House Fire in North Georgia

The City of Jasper Fire Department received an emergency call on Monday at 7:47 a.m., reporting a fire with a person trapped inside on Oakmont Drive.

Upon their arrival, firefighters were met with a devastating sight – a home engulfed in flames and two individuals trapped inside.

Firefighters made valiant efforts to rescue the victims who were trapped and extinguish the raging fire.

Tragically, the victims discovered in the fire had already succumbed to their fate.

The Georgia State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Jasper Fire Marshal’s Office are currently investigating the cause of the fire.

The Jasper Fire Department and the City of Jasper expressed their heartfelt condolences to the family of the victims.
